Saamana is a Marathi-language newspaper published in Maharashtra, India. Saamana was launched in 1988 by Bal Thackeray, founder of the Shiv Sena political party. A Hindi version of the paper was also released in 1993 called ‘Dopahar Ka Saamana’, or ‘Hindi Saamana’. It is one of the most widely-read newspapers in Maharashtra with a daily circulation of 1.2 million copies.
